Welcome to all members to our first newsletter of the year. Hoping that all have had a good winter, and are looking forward to a warm spring and warmer summer. This is my first effort at posting a newsletter on-line, so I AM HOPING I HAVE DONE IT RIGHT!

With the news of Canada Posts financial position, we have had to make a few changes at the Chapter level. Our dues WILL BE INCREASED to $15.00. If you are a member who has prepaid dues (2026-2027 only) your $10 fee will be honored. There is an understanding from National that the stipend we have been receiving from Canada Post to help with the running of the chapter would be taken away. A reminder that this is the first increase since the formation of our club in 1989. Your executive hopes you all understand the need for these things to change due to circumstances beyond our control.
Further in the newsletter you will see the application for the Spring Luncheon.
There have been a fair number of inquiries regarding paying dues by e-transfer. At present we would like you to send a cheque and support our National Postal service by buying a stamp!
Further to the need for change, we would ask that you keep us appraised of any changes to status, mailing address, phone/email changes.
- PLEASE TAKE NOTE OFTHE FOLLOWING:: Canada Post has suspended our mailing privileges for the foreseeable future, and along with our office stipend being taken away, we are having to make a few difficult decisions. As a result your executive has decided that, after this mailing we will not be sending out newsletters to THOSE WHO ARE NOT CURRENT WITH THEIR YEARLY DUES. So, if you want to be kept up on “your club” and be able to access our providers discounted rates please make sure your dues are current. These discounts are worth far more than the cost of dues!
We wish to extend our condolences to the families of the following:
Douglas Smith, Edward Holowich, Roy Sharp, Robert Peters, Edward Faseruk, Gary Peters, Hector LaChappelle, Reginald Taylor, Claudette Poolton, Edward Budzan, Abram Suderman, David Meyers, Gary Back, and Jerome Brule.
We would like to welcome the following New Members to our club:
Trevor Badger, Jeanette Kielich, Tammy Rajal , Ron Rosengren, Kerri Sveinson, Cheri Biloski, Jennifer O;Neill, Ray Kinaschuk, Diane Matychuk, Nathalie Boucher, Sandra Maley, Robert Peters and Judith Woof

We are looking to have a very good turn-out as there is much to discuss/explain.
Cambrian Council Needed: We are looking once again to re-form a council for our club members in NW Ontario who have paid their dues. What is needed is a base from which a network can be established so our members to have the opportunity to get together once in a while and be sociable. Such a council would also be able to do due due diligence in supporting worthy charities in the community at large. If interested, please email us at heartlandmb21@gmail.com
DO YOU WANT TO HAVE A FUN DAY AT SHOOTER’S GOLF COURSE THIS SUMMER?
As the club does not had a Golf Committee since the retirement of Gord, Buzz, Harry & prayers for Larry, (thanks to them all for 25 yrs putting on tournaments). we will be accepting Expressions of Interest for a date in June. Dependent on how many people are interested, there will be a time block assigned for us. You will check in at the Pro Shop, standard rates apply, and if you wish to have a meal after finishing you can let the kitchen know.
