Minutes – November 2018

Postal Employees 25 Year Club
(A Council of the Terra Nova Chapter Heritage Club)

Minutes of meeting held at Royal Canadian Legion, Blackmarsh Rd. on
November 28th, 2018.
The meeting came to order at 7:30pm and the minutes of the previous meeting were adopted on a motion by Bob Thomson and seconded by Jim Flynn.

Those in attendance were:

A moment of silence was held in their honor, and our sincere condolences go out to all those concerned.


There was nothing reported at this time.


The treasurer’s report was accepted on a motion by Wayne Murphy and seconded by Bill Marshall.


El Holmes stated that the upcoming Christmas Dinner & Dance has been cancelled due to low interest, adding that we will lose $100.00 deposit for the hall and an additional $300.00 for the D.J.
El also reported that the Luncheon will be going aheadand so far we have about 24 couples and hoping for at least 30.
The Santa letter campaign will be held in the lunchroom at Stn. A on December 5th, 2018 at 6:30pm.
Harvey’s calendars will be ready for preparation on December 9th, 2018 at 9:00am in the lunchroom at Stn. A
The letter carriers will be holding a get-together on December 15th, 2018 at Kelly’s on George Street.
Eric Howlett stated that about 98 of 180 members have sent in their email addresses and requested that those who haven’t done so yet, to please send them to him at cakesbyalice@yahoo.com.
Dave Roche commented that volunteers will be needed to collect letters at the Santa Claus Parade.

There being no further business, the meeting adjourned at 7:45pm. on a motion by Gerard Knight.

Our next meeting will be at the Legion on January 23rd, 2019 at 7:30pm.
